About this opportunity
This position will ensure the safe delivery of liquid products to our customers and provide support to the Service department as needed.
What your role will look like
Operate a commercial motor vehicle to transport liquid fuel products in every weather condition and at any time, day or night.
Unload liquid fuel products from vehicle, which includes pulling up to 150 feet of delivery hose.
Support Eastern's policies and procedures by maintaining required licensure and meeting DOT and SOP standards.
Remain alert and focused and otherwise complete work in a safe manner, including reporting any unsafe conditions to the supervisor immediately.
Demonstrate a commitment to safety by engaging in safety meetings, safety training, and safety refreshers, alerting supervisor to unsafe actions, and modeling safety-conscious practices.
Perform leak checks in accordance with National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) Code #58 and restart system appliances.
Install and maintain tank monitors.
Maintain organized and professional standards and appearance in dress, hygiene, cleanliness of vehicle.
Perform maintenance of facility during off-season including painting, mowing, trimming, raking, weeding, tank preparation, tank evacuation, and meter reading.
Provide support to the Service department, as needed, to include the following functions:
Perform tank swaps and inspections in accordance with Department of Transportation (DOT) standards.
Perform cathodic testing of underground tanks and DOT tank inspections.
Operate crane truck for setting, installing, and transporting propane tanks.
Assist certified Service and Installation Technicians with equipment installation.
Be receptive to and successfully complete other duties as assigned.
What you'll bring to this role
Education: High school diploma or equivalent.
Age requirement: minimum of 21 years old.
Licensure/Certification:
Valid state license for size vehicle and appropriate endorsements.
Submit to and pass DOT physical.
Submit to and pass DOT drug and alcohol tests.
Proven history of a safe driving record and must maintain same.
Knowledge of the National Fuel Gas Code (NFPA 54) and Storage and Handling of Liquefied Propane Gas (NFPA 58).
Knowledge of electricity and use of test meter.
Knowledge of leak and pressure test.
Knowledge of carbon monoxide test procedure.
