What we are looking for:
The Operations Supervisor is responsible for the supervision, training and quality of activities in the production environment and clean rooms. This individual will perform a key role in maintaining customer satisfaction via timely deliveries of high quality products. The supervisor will also ensure all direct reports receive appropriate training and development in both operations and safety practices.
2nd Shift: Monday-Friday 3:00 pm-11:00 pm
What you will do:
Directs and coordinates daily production activities which meet employee safety needs, customer requirements, and key operational metrics (including daily production goals).
Interfaces with warehouse personnel, engineering, scheduling, purchasing, maintenance and quality control departments to ensure timely staging, set-up, and clearance procedures are achieved.
Responsible for the documentation and execution of disciplinary actions up to and including Final Written Warnings after discussions with the Operations Manager, provides the Operations Manager with recommendations on any final disciplinary actions (HR reviews all write ups prior to issuing).
Reviews training of Manufacturing personnel in the use of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), company procedures, and Work Instructions (WI).
Reviews time/labor reporting system data rates and submits deviations as needed or directed.
Resolves and/or assists personnel in solving production work issues.
Recommends measures to improve production methods, equipment performance, and the quality of the product.
Responsible for PM's in Emaint; prints and delegates work as required.
Must be able to work extended hours as required.
Identifies staffing requirements, participates in the selection and hiring process; interviews applicants and makes hire recommendations.
Provides coaching, feedback and guidance to team members on a continual basis and takes an active role in developing, monitoring and updating a career plan for advancement.
Completes performance appraisals and reviews with employees; recommends salary increases to management and HR.
Provides input to the department budgeting process and monitors and controls expenses through the year to meet budget requirements.
Who you are:
Associates Degree or equivalent experience required.
Minimum of 3 years Manufacturing experience.
Minimum 3 years of supervisory experience.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with peers and management.
ISO-9001 knowledge preferred.
Basic understanding of GMP and working within regulated industries.
Considerable knowledge of ERP systems and manufacturing workflow.
Considerable knowledge of the Microsoft Suite of products, specifically Excel, Word and Outlook.
