Job Description
The Montgomery College, Off campus locations, (Paint Branch, Magruder or Seneca Valley High School), is currently accepting applications an opening as a part-time faculty member teaching for Achieving Collegiate Excellence Success (ACES) Mission Possible summer program. We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated teacher who exhibits a high degree of professionalism, a strong commitment to our students, and demonstrates the ability to motivate and educate in an engaging manner.
Class Schedule: July 6, 2026 -July 10, 2026. The class times will be 8:30-2:30pm.
Orientation June 29, 2026 10:00am-3:00pm

Duties and Responsibilities:
The Montgomery College Achieving Collegiate Excellence and Success (ACES) program is a collaborative effort between Montgomery College, Montgomery County Public Schools, and the Universities at Shady Grove to support students and provide a seamless path to a bachelor's degree.
As a part of the ACES team, Part Time Faculty will teach Financial Literacy, English and/or College 101.
Required Qualifications:
Master’s degree in Math, English, Counseling, Higher Education, or related field or 2-3 years of professional experience related to Mission Possible subject matter or the equivalent combination of education, training, certification and/or experience that provides the required knowledge and expertise to perform the essential functions of the job may be considered.
Experience working with high school students.
Successful candidates will have a demonstrated commitment to promoting diversity, inclusion, and multicultural competence in an educational and work environment and must be willing to contribute to the Colleges strategic plan of inclusion.
Faculty members are expected to have access to a personal computer with virus protection that can connect to the internet outside of the work location (i.e., office, classroom, college campus)*. Montgomery College (MC) provides an MC e-mail account and access to the learning platform, password-protected faculty sections of the website, college listservs, and other faculty communications tools. *If you do not have access to a personal computer, please notify the department chair at the time of interview. Subject to available funds, the college may be able to provide temporary access to resources.
Must be eligible to work in the United States without a sponsor.
For degrees earned outside of the U.S., a copy of your education equivalency, conducted by a nationally recognized evaluation service, must be included in your application.
