We are looking for a detail-oriented Human Resources (HR) Assistant to join our team in Columbus, Ohio. This Contract to permanent position involves supporting HR operations, maintaining confidentiality, and ensuring a well-organized office environment. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong organizational skills and a commitment to fostering positive interactions within the workplace.
Responsibilities:
• Greet visitors, assess their needs, and direct them to the appropriate destination while adhering to security protocols.
• Manage sensitive employee and company information with the utmost discretion and confidentiality.
• Support onboarding processes, including coordinating new employee documentation and scheduling orientations.
• Maintain and update HRIS systems to ensure accurate employee records.
• Assist with employee relations by addressing inquiries and providing support within established guidelines.
• Coordinate department meetings, prepare agendas, and document meeting outcomes.
• Conduct background checks and verify employment details for prospective hires.
• Handle administrative tasks such as filing, email communication, and monthly reporting.
• Respond to inbound telephone calls and provide customer service to employees and external stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures in all HR-related activities.• At least 3 years of experience in an HR administrative or assistant role.
• Proficiency in HRIS systems and database management.
• Strong skills in Microsoft Excel for data analysis and reporting.
• Experience with onboarding processes and background checks.
• Ability to coordinate meetings and manage schedules effectively.
• Exceptional organizational and filing skills.
• Strong customer service abilities, including email and telephone communication.
