Our client, a leading organization in the financial services industry, is seeking a Program Manager to join their team. As a Program Manager, you will be part of the Technology department supporting cross-functional teams within a diverse portfolio. What's the Job?
Strategy - Help frame program strategy, aligned to organizational goals and objectives, including measurement (OKRs, KPIs).
Governance - Maintain program governance structure and related mechanisms for steering, decision-making, and escalation.
Engagement - Coordinate program conversations at the right level and cadence. Publish notes and action items.
Sense-Making - Own program narrative; synthesize details into high-impact artifacts tuned to audience and purpose.
Monitoring - Enable comprehensive program health and status monitoring, including a framework for aggregating key results from multiple projects across the enterprise.
Schedule Management - Ensure roadmap / schedule integrity, including process for business critical milestones and key results reported at the CxO level. Monitor for and resolve items near or past due, date changes, stoplight changes, etc.
Financials - Support capital planning, budgeting, forecasting, variance tracking, and related reporting including labor, cloud, vendor, software license, and other costs for initiatives. Coordinate setup of project codes.
Exceptions - Facilitate risk, issue, change, dependency, and critical decisions management.
Business Cases - Drive end-to-end business case process - initiative funding pipeline ("FITS"), template utilization, monthly business case review, stakeholder touchpoints, and feedback / approval forums.
Vendor Management - Support third-party due diligence, selection, contract execution, and oversight.
Collaboration - Organize and maintain program collaboration and knowledge / work management infrastructure - example tools: Jira, Confluence, SharePoint, Teams, Miro.
Administration - Provide administrative and logistical support such as roster and cost center management, meeting scheduling, team calendar management, conference planning, distribution list maintenance, etc. What's Needed?
Bachelor's degree, preferably with a STEM or Finance element.
5-7+ years of enterprise experience and with demonstrated proficiency in technology portfolio / program / project management, working with multi-million dollar budgets.
3+ years of experience with agile methodologies such as Scrum, SAFe, LESS, or Kanban.
Demonstrates strong interpersonal skills, high emotional intelligence, strong analysis, communication skills, and delivers high-quality work products.
Proficient in collaboration tools like (Confluence, SharePoint), work management systems (Jira, MS-Dynamics), BI and analytics tools (Excel, PowerBI), digital whiteboarding (Miro), communications tech (Zoom, Teams).
Adaptable, independent, and thrives in a hybrid environment without a central PMO.
Domain experience a plus: financial services, big data, data science, advanced analytics, AI / ML / LLM. What's in it for me?
