Job Title: Machining Operator

Position: Day Shift
Position Summary:
Monitors a set of automated CNC machining lines to produce aluminum alloy billets for forging presses.
Key Responsibilities:
Ensure equipment is operating within specified parameters.
Material handling requiring use of forklift and overhead crane
Ensure quality is maintained
Make offset adjustments if necessary
Fill out required production documents
Changeovers
Maintain clean/organized work area
Performs other duties as requiredSkills & Competencies:
Ability to work both independently and as a team.
Ability to read and comprehend basic English
Ability to follow instructions
Basic troubleshooting and problem solving.
Basic computer skills
Ability to read and comprehend basic English
Ability to follow instructions
Basic math skills
Able to use measuring devices such as calipers
Ability to identify nonstandard situations and respond accordingly.Education & Experience:
High school degree or GED equivalence.
Experience in operating CNC machined is preferred
Crane and forklift experience preferred.Work Environment & Physical Requirements:
Requires constant physical activity throughout shift such as walking, sitting, standing, bending, stooping, squatting, reaching, handling, near/far vision, pushing, pulling, carrying, and lifting objects weighing up to 50 lbs.
Flexible work schedule as needed with adequate notification.
Always maintain strict adherence to safety rules and regulations, including wearing personal protective equipment.
Willing to work in hot/humid, cold, noisy industrial environments.
