Join us and be part of a legacy built to last.Perks for you include:\nPaid Vacations & Holidays\nProfit Sharing & Matching 401(k)\nHealth Insurance (Medical, Vision, & Dental)\nDiscounts on Klein Tools products\nEducation and Professional Development Assistance\n\nThe CNC Machine Operator III is responsible for producing machined parts by setting up and running complex jobs on computer numerical control (CNC) lathe or milling machines, maintaining quality and safety standards, keeping records, and maintaining equipment and supplies.This position will report to our facility in Trevose, PA and must be available to work during our 2nd shift hours of operation, 2:30 PM - 11:30 PM EDT, with the first few weeks spent training on the 1st shift (6:30 AM - 3:00 PM EDT) before transitioning to the 2nd shift.
Responsibilities of this role include:\nOperate drill presses, manual milling machines, CNC milling machines, manual lathes and CNC lathes.\nPerform complex set-up of CNC machines by loading programs, installing and adjusting chucks, cutting tools, attachments, tool holders, vises, collets, bushings, stops and stock pushers.\nMake adjustments to the program as needed.\nLoad and unload raw materials and parts into the machine.\nVerify settings by measuring positions, first-run part, and sample workpieces adhering to company quality standards.\nInspect and measure finished product using calipers, gauges, micrometers, and other machinist hand tools.\nCompare finished product to drawing specifications to determine if they adhere to company quality standards.\nMaintain specifications by observing drilling, grooving, and cutting, including turning, facing, knurling and thread chasing operations; taking measurements; detecting malfunctions; troubleshooting processes; adjusting controls; and replacing worn tools.\nMaintain continuity among work shifts by documenting and communicating actions, irregularities, and continuing needs.\nKeep work area in clean and orderly condition, complying with established 5S standards.\nMaintain a safe work environment to prevent on-the-job injuries by following and promoting company, OSHA and EPA rules and regulations, implementing machine safeguards, recognizing and reporting safety hazards and follow all safety procedures and standards.\nPerform other duties as required within the nature and level of work.\n\nQualifications\nHigh school diploma or equivalent is preferred and five (5) years of experience operating and programming CNC Mills or Lathes.Seven (7) years of experience is preferred.\n\nMust be able to read, write, speak and understand basic English.\nProficiency in basic math and trigonometry.\nAbility to communicate and work as a team member.\nAbility to work independently with minimum to no supervision.\nAbility to read and understand part and tool prints.\nAbility to use precision measuring tools and hold close tolerances.\n\nPhysical Demand RequirementsRequired to stand, walk or sit; use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; balance; stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl; talk or hear; taste or smell.
The employee must occasionally lift and/or move objects up to 35 pounds.
