Start the next chapter of your career with Crane Aerospace & Electronics!Job Summary:To grind crane Aerospace Parts.Essential Functions:\nSet up and operate various manual, NC, CNC and grinding machines, equipment and hand tools.\nPerform diversified internal, external, and surface grinding operations.\nManufacture parts in accordance with established quality and quantity standards in a team -oriented cell.\nResponsible for maintaining cell inventory.\nProvide a finish in accordance with the manufacturing outline and blueprint requirements including but not limited to removal of burrs and edge breaks.\nTroubleshoot and correct problems for set-up, non-conformance tooling and machining processes.\nSelect and properly use all measuring instruments and gauges.\nReport machine malfunctions and part discrepancies to supervisor.\nSaw material as required.\nClean and move parts as necessary.\nPass an annual eye exam.\nResponsible for product verification and process control including using necessary measuring devices.\nDocument all non-conformances through specified data collection procedures.\nInspect work and verify that product meets all appropriate standards at each operation step in the cell.\nPerform required rework, secondary operations, routine maintenance per Appendix A, and appropriate safety checks in the cell.\nDocument all non-conformances through specified data collection procedures.\nInspect work and verify that product meets all appropriate standards at each operational step in the cell.\nComplete all required paperwork.\nEnsure all material is properly cleaned, identified, protected, and stacked prior to movement.\nWork with internal and external customers and suppliers and participate in continuous improvement activities as required.\nComplete all required documentation including but not limited to operator inspection records, job routers, NCR's, reject tags, move tickets, and stock tickets.\nPerform other duties as assigned by department supervisor.\nUtilize computer to access various databases.\n\nMinimum Requirements:\n\n3+ year of experience with CNC Grinder, setup and tolerances ( .5 thou) required\n\nMust have basic reading and writing skills\nRequires basic math skills such as adding, subtracting, multiplying, and dividing.\nMust be able to read and interpret blueprints, detail sheets, manufacturing outlines, and written instructions.\nRequires a working knowledge of fixtures, cutting tools, and selecting and dressing wheels for finish requirements.\nEducation: High School Diploma.\n\nEligibility Requirement: This position may require access to Controlled Data or Information.
