Candidates selected for this position are expected to work the time required to accomplish the responsibilities of this position (more than 40 hours including weekends). This position is eligible for Extended Work Time Compensation (EWTC) for hours worked in excess of 45 weekly.In this role, you will:\nOversee daily work in your assigned shop.\nBe responsible for assigning and monitoring the completion of work, as well as providing technical assistance, and generally managing the supervision and workforce within the Shop.\nDevelop and/or reviewing project schedules and budgets during the planning phase.\nAllocating personnel and resources to efficiently support all contracts (including shift work).\nOversee and monitor schedule performance, including review of ongoing and upcoming projects, investigation of late activities, project supervision, and the development of practical solutions.\nMonitor and evaluate project budget performance, including review of ongoing and upcoming projects, development of productivity enhancements and investigation of over-budget items.\nPerform personnel related functions including, but not limited to, the supervision of employees, performance management, workforce reductions, promotions, demotions and discipline.\nEnsure that employees understand and adhere to Company policies.\nTrain and motivate employees in the areas of technical knowledge, safety, environmental and communication.\nEnsure that requirements of the labor agreement are satisfied.\nWork a variety of shifts (1st shift 7:15 am to 4:00 pm, 2nd shift 4:00 pm to 12:30 am, 3rd shift 11:45 pm - 7:45 am)\n\nRequired Education, Experience, & Skills \nMust be able to obtain a government access badge\nHigh School or equivalent plus appropriate Trade, 6+ years related experience with HS Diploma, 4 + years related with associate degree.\nDemonstrate the ability to plan, schedule, supervise, and direct the work of other employees in the relevant trade or industry\nAbility to use discretion and judgment in making operations and personnel decisions.\nProficient computer skills required including experience with Microsoft Office programs and similar software.\nGood oral and written communication skills.\n\nPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills \nPreferred Education, Experience, & Skills:\nKnowledge of NAVSEA standards as they pertain to the trade.\nKnowledge of Earned Value Management System and able to interpret information through reporting.\nExperience with production planning and reporting.\nKnowledge of shipboard work control procedures, tag out procedures, and Government Work Authorization Form (WAF) control\n\nPay InformationFull-Time Salary Range: $75254 - $127930Please note: This range is based on our market pay structures.
However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
