Full-Time • Hourly • On-Site • Day Shift (5:00am-3:30pm Monday to Thursday, Overtime on Friday as needed)Join our team and help shape high-quality structural metal products used in machinery, concrete construction equipment, and precision-made metal components.We're looking for a motivated Fabrication Machine Operator who is passionate about hands-on work, safety, and craftsmanship.What You'll DoCore Responsibilities \nOperate a variety of metal fabrication equipment, such as brakes, rollers, shears, lasers, and saws\nGrind, sand, hammer, and chip metal parts to achieve required finishes\nTag, identify, and correctly stage work-pieces\nUse precision tools to verify parts meet specifications\nCollaborate with leads/supervisors to resolve fabrication or part issues\nSafely operate hoists, lift tables, and (with certification) forklifts\nHandle machinery and materials with a strong focus on safety and quality\nLocate and mark cutting or bending lines on materials\nSet up and operate fabrication machines\nSelect and secure fixtures, cutting tools, and proper materials\nCalculate and set machine controls (speed, feed, angles, depth, and other parameters)\nStart, monitor, and adjust machinery to ensure proper operation\nRun trial pieces to confirm accuracy of machine setup or programmed instructions\nPerform additional duties as needed\nMaintain regular and reliable attendance\n\nWhat You BringEducation & ExperienceHigh school diploma, GED, or Metals Fabrication Certificate, 1-3 months of relevant experience/training or an equivalent combination of education and experience\nSkills & Abilities\nBasic reading and verbal communication skills\nAbility to perform basic math (addition, subtraction)\nAbility to measure accurately using tape measures and precision tools (feet, inches, thousandths)\nAbility to follow written, verbal, and diagram-based instructions\nProblem-solving skills in standardized situations\nAbility to safely operate:\nHand tools & air-powered tools\nFabrication equipment (brake, shear, laser, rollers, punch, saws)\nHoists\n\n\n\nPhysical Requirements\nFrequent standing and walking for up to 10-hour shifts\nManual dexterity and ability to reach, stoop, kneel, or crouch\nAbility to lift/move up to 50 lbs regularly\nGood vision (close, peripheral, depth perception)\nWork environment includes exposure to chemicals (metalworking fluids, cleaners, brake fluid, etc.)\nLoud environment-hearing protection required\n\nCompensation and Benefits:\nPay: $21.00 / hour\n9 or 11 paid Holidays (depending on schedule)\nGenerous Paid Time Off - Accrues at a rate of 4 weeks per year to start\nPaid Volunteer Time Off\nPaid Parental Leave\nExcellent Benefits Package for Full Time Employees that starts the 1st of the month after 30 days of hire date including:\n\nMedical, Dental, Vision\nLife and Disability Insurance\nFlex Spending Accounts\nAccidental, Critical Illness & Hospital Indemnity Insurance\nLegal Insurance\n\nRetirement Planning - 401(k) plan including Discretionary Company Match\nTuition Reimbursement up to $5,250 a year\nEmployee Referral Program\nEmployee Assistance Program\n\nMultiquip provides competitive pay and benefits and supports our employees through our values of safety, integrity and respect.Employment is subject to pre-employment physical, drug-screening and background investigation.
