Company Overview: Our Client, a Karachi based company, seeks to appoint experienced professionals for the following role:

Job Role

Prepare, submit and reconcile demurrage and penalty claims in line with departmental objectives to ensure compliance of contracts and also responsible for overall operational aspect of the demurrages assignment.

Key Responsibilities

To prepare and submit demurrages and penalty claims of companys as per the contracts to ensure timely processing of claims

To reconcile claims received from suppliers and shipping companies to ensure compliance of contracts

To revise demurrages initially booked in PO with reconciled amounts on monthly basis to reflect correct record keeping in system

To ensure companys claims are reconciled and settled/paid in timely manner to safeguard Companys interests

To reconcile vendor accounts with demurrages reconciled amount to reflect proper liability in the accounts

Coordinate and follow up with treasury department for issuance of debit notes to suppliers and AP/ Finance for timely payment to suppliers

Follow up actively with stakeholders (suppliers and shipping companies) for timely payments and claim reconciliation

Undertake any other task or function as maybe desired by the management

Education

Minimum 16 years of education, preferably Masters from a renowned and HEC recognized university or institution/equivalent foreign degree holder institution, in Supply Chain or a related field.

Experience

Minimum 3-4 years of professional experience, preferably in a large national/multinational organization with at least 1-2 years of related functional experience in a similar role at an equivalent position.

Requirements

Excellent communication and presentation skills

Strong thinking/problem-solving skills which can be applied to business processes with a "can-do" attitude

Age

The candidate should preferably be not more than 33 years of age as of the last date of submission of application.
