Job Description

Job Title: Construction Superintendent (Bags-On)

Job Overview

REHAB LLC is seeking a high-performing Bags-On Superintendent to lead our field operations. This is a unique hybrid role designed for a "player-coach" who is equally comfortable managing a complex job site and strapping on a tool belt to perform framing, finish work, or repairs. You will be the face of REHAB LLC on-site, ensuring that every project is completed with the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

Core Responsibilities

Field Leadership & Labor

Dual-Role Leadership: Act as the primary site supervisor while actively performing hands-on construction tasks (framing, finish carpentry, etc.) as project needs dictate.

Crew Management: Oversee and manage job site crews and subcontractors; lead quality control efforts with each individual team member.

Training & Development: Train staff and facilitate career development; create "self-maintaining" crews to optimize site independence.

Site Operations & Scheduling

Project Oversight: Manage all work from the pre-walk phase through final completion across multiple job sites.

Scheduling: Ensure all jobs are scheduled accurately and that timelines are strictly followed.

Materials & Tools: Ensure all crews are prepared with the necessary tools and materials for daily/weekly tasks; manage inventory and orders.

Estimating: Assist in estimating new projects to meet company profitability and work criteria.

Quality, Safety & Accountability

Standards Enforcement: Hold all contractors and employees accountable for the price, timeframes, and high-quality standards set by REHAB LLC.

Safety Compliance: Ensure all personnel adhere to OSHA and REHAB LLC safety policies to maintain a zero-injury environment.

Personnel Management: Handle time entry accuracy, coaching, corrective actions, and terminations as necessary.

Policy Implementation: Roll out and document new processes and policies to all crew members.

Communication & Administration

Client Relations: Provide consistent status updates to clients, ensuring they are comfortable with progress and due dates.

Reporting: Maintain daily logs, interpret blueprints/scopes of work, and communicate site status regularly to the Project Manager and owners.

Professionalism: Be the example of REHAB LLC’s brand through professional appearance and conduct.

Key Qualifications

Experience: Construction including carpentry, plumbing, electrical, paint, drywall, HVAC, hardware and all other renovation items with 2+ years in a leadership/supervisory role.

Technical Skills: Advanced knowledge of construction methods, materials, and the ability to read architectural, structural, and mechanical drawings.

Physical Demands: Must be able to lift 50+ lbs and work in demanding outdoor/active job site environments.

Certifications: OSHA 10 or 30 certification is highly preferred.

Flexibility: Must be available for nights and weekends if required for priority projects.
