Description:

Employee will be a graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology as well as a Registered Technologist (RT) with minimum one year experience in diagnostic radiology. Employee will also hold a current certification in in CPR (Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation).

As a CT Technologist, you will operate the CT Imaging equipment to produce images of designated portion of the human body for pediatric, adolescent, adult, and geriatric patients in an outpatient setting.

Primary duties and responsibilities:

Review Physician orders and obtain pertinent medical information to identify reason for the exam

Thoroughly explain the procedure to the patient

Be able to select appropriate position for each patient

Organize images, perform the scan, and transfer images to PACS system

Report all potential issues with equipment to Chief Technologist

Practice proper safety techniques in accordance with departmental policies and procedures

Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Provide clear information and education to patient

Anticipates and responds promptly to needs and request of patients and/or staff

Demonstrates respect and courtesy to others

Demonstrates professionalism at all times

Able to problem solve

Demonstrate emotional support to others

Create and maintain a calm environment

License/Certification Required:

Graduate of an accredited school of Radiologic Technology

Registered Radiologic Technologist (RT) with one (1) year of experience in diagnostic radiology

Current CPR (cardio pulmonary resuscitation) certification
