QSSHire is partnering with a secure customer to identify a Software Developer (Systems Software) to support application development and deployment packaging for mission-critical systems.

This opportunity is ideal for a hands-on developer experienced in modern JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks, backend API development using Node.js, and containerized deployments in AWS cloud environments.

You’ll join a collaborative team supporting the development, sustainment, and modernization of web applications and microservices, ensuring system reliability, performance, and long-term maintainability in a secure, high-impact environment.

In This Role, You’ll:

• Develop and maintain modern web applications using JavaScript and TypeScript frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.

• Design and implement RESTful APIs and backend services using Node.js frameworks.

• Build responsive front-end user interfaces using HTML5, CSS3, and modern JavaScript (ES6+).

• Develop scalable microservices architectures supporting distributed applications.

• Design and optimize relational database schemas and queries.

• Support production databases including PostgreSQL and MySQL.

• Utilize ORM frameworks such as Prisma or Sequelize for application data access.

• Build and maintain containerized applications using Docker.

• Support application deployment and operations within AWS cloud environments.

• Apply web application security best practices and usability principles.

• Utilize Git version control in collaborative development environments.

• Debug, test, and troubleshoot complex application issues across development and production systems.

• Support application packaging and deployment processes to maintain system sustainability and reliability.

• Contribute to technical documentation, architecture discussions, and knowledge-sharing across the development team.

You’ll Succeed Here If You Have:

• Demonstrated experience developing modern web applications using JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks such as Angular, React, or Vue.

• Experience developing backend APIs and services using Node.js frameworks.

• Strong proficiency with HTML5, CSS3, modern JavaScript (ES6+), and TypeScript.

• Experience working with CSS preprocessors such as Sass.

• Experience designing and implementing RESTful APIs and microservices architectures.

• Experience working with SQL databases including schema design, query optimization, and performance tuning.

• Experience supporting PostgreSQL and MySQL production environments.

• Experience utilizing ORM frameworks such as Prisma or Sequelize.

• Experience with containerization technologies such as Docker.

• Familiarity with AWS cloud services and cloud-native development patterns.

• Strong understanding of web application security best practices and usability principles.

• Experience using Git in collaborative development workflows.

• Strong problem-solving skills including debugging, testing, and troubleshooting complex applications.

Bonus Points If You Have:

• Experience working with ElasticSearch

• Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code tools such as Terraform or CloudFormation

• Experience working with monitoring and observability tools

• Experience working with geospatial libraries

• Experience modernizing or migrating legacy applications

• Working knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and build automation

• Experience integrating with data lake architectures or data-intensive applications

• Experience working with J2EE applications and containers

• Experience with Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
