We are a growing electrical infrastructure and energy solutions organization supporting utility-scale projects across transmission, substations, renewable energy, and battery energy storage systems (BESS). Our team partners closely with utilities, developers, and EPC partners to deliver complex high-voltage and medium-voltage electrical construction projects.

With a strong pipeline of energy infrastructure work, we are expanding our preconstruction and estimating team. This role will support the development of accurate project bids and cost models for transmission, distribution, and power infrastructure projects.

Job Details

Title: Estimator – Transmission & Distribution

This role is responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates and supporting preconstruction efforts for transmission, distribution, and electrical infrastructure projects. The Estimator will analyze bid documents, perform take-offs, and develop proposals that support competitive and accurate project bids.

Responsibilities:

Prepare detailed cost estimates for transmission, distribution, and underground electrical construction projects

Review RFP packages, specifications, drawings, and project documentation to determine scope and requirements

Perform material and labor take-offs for electrical infrastructure work

Participate in field walkdowns with superintendents, engineers, and customer representatives to evaluate project conditions

Develop bid proposals, including project schedules, cost projections, and execution plans

Coordinate with subcontractors and suppliers to obtain pricing and timeline information

Participate in internal bid review meetings and present estimate assumptions and project strategy

Support the transition from estimating to project execution by providing detailed handoff documentation to project management teams

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Mathematics, Science, or a related field

Experience estimating transmission, distribution, substation, or utility-scale electrical construction projects

Ability to review technical drawings and develop accurate cost estimates and proposals

Experience preparing and presenting complete bid packages independently

Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, particularly Excel

Experience using Oracle Primavera P6 or similar scheduling software

Strong communication and collaboration skills when working with internal teams and external partners

Nice to Have:

Experience with high-voltage (HV) or medium-voltage (MV) electrical construction

Exposure to renewable energy or battery energy storage projects

Experience working with utilities, EPC contractors, or large infrastructure projects
