The Director of Human Resources is responsible for leading talent strategy and strategic HR initiatives for multiple functional groups within the Home Office. This role operates as a strategic business partner and advisor to senior leaders in areas of business strategy and alignment, org design and effectiveness, leadership development, and change management.
Responsibilities
Leadership
Lead a group of HR professionals responsible for handling and executing functional talent strategy and providing HR solutions to support day to day people and organizational challengesBusiness & Functional Strategy Influence
Provide thought leadership to respective functional leaders on departmental and talent initiatives that will deliver the brand vision and business growth goals
Provide strategic advice, and influence to functional and department leaders on people initiatives, programs and strategy programs like Annual Compensation Review, Quarterly Connects, Organizational Leadership Review, and Learning & Development
Partner, influence and provide guidance to functional leaders to properly react to business initiatives and changes in the macro and micro environments through effective org analysis and designTalent Strategy & Leadership Development
Partner with senior leaders to build development plans and identify systemic leadership strengths and gaps for Director and above to support future succession and leader capability building
Lead the execution of talent strategy planning through assessments exercises in risk, succession, performance management and hiring to identify gaps in talent health and identify proactive solutions and actionsCulture, Change & Engagement
Champion culture and engagement through creation and execution of engagement initiatives like the Associate Opinion survey and identifying the specific actions and needs of each function to create tailored plans and actions
Facilitate and support change management
8+ years of proven experience as a Senior People Leader in a Human Resources function, having driven People programs in a rapidly growing company
Experience working in a retail environment a plus, but not required
Knowledge and expertise in employment laws and regulation
Ability to handle and lead HR teams across multiple business units, buildings and geographic markets
Proficient and up to date in current HR technology, systems and analytics
Excellent strategic thinking and decision making skills
Expertise providing executive coaching and counsel to senior leaders
Exceptional leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
Ability to navigate crucial conversations, influence and drive insights using curiosity, strategic thinking and leadership versatility
Proficiency in HR technology and analyticsEducation
