Registered Telemetry Unit Nurse Pollock, Louisiana

Deliver expert cardiac nursing care in a challenging night shift role focused on patients with myocardial infarction, congestive heart failure, arrhythmias, peripheral vascular disease, and medical-surgical overflow. This contract opportunity offers a chance to demonstrate clinical autonomy in a well-established hospital environment in Pollock, LA. The role includes managing complex cardiac drips and comprehensive patient assessments while collaborating with a dynamic healthcare team.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide high-quality nursing care using the nursing process-assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, and evaluation-for assigned patients.

Administer medications and treatments according to established protocols, monitoring for side effects and therapeutic effectiveness.

Address psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families with sensitivity and professionalism.

Document detailed patient histories, symptoms, medications, and care provided in an accurate and timely manner.

Assess patient and family education needs and deliver appropriate teaching to improve outcomes.

Participate in ongoing competency validation and complete organizational orientation and training programs.

Float to other units as needed to support patient care demands.

Work every other weekend with no on-call obligations.

Qualifications:

Current RN license in the state of practice or compact license.

BLS and ACLS certification from the American Heart Association.

Minimum one year nursing experience in a relevant specialty preferred.

Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred but not required.

Work Schedule & Type:

Night shift: 7 PM to 7 AM, full-time

Contract role with temp-to-perm potential.
