666POSITION SUMMARY:
Responsibility is to provide clean and sanitary bed linens and personal clothes to approximately 360 residents on 24 hour/365 days a year demand. Mandatory compliance with all PA Long Term Care Regulations is required.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Collects and sorts dirty linen from units three times in an eight-hour shift.
Clean linens delivered to units daily.
Loads washers and dryers with linen daily.
Shakes sheets daily.
Monitors and changes chemicals as needed.
On a daily basis operates washers and checks their functions.
Cleans machines on a daily basis and signs off.
Keeps soiled linen poundage report.
Keeps machine poundage report.
Keeps water temperature report.
Pushing and pulling delivery carts on wheels to units daily up to and over 355 pounds.
May be required to perform additional work that follows prescribed or well established procedures that can be learned within a reasonable time by training on the job. More detailed instructions, as to the nature of their duties, will be given to employees at the beginning of work.
