Planate Management Group (PMG) is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Business (SDVOSB) headquartered in Alexandria, Virginia, and Orlando, Florida USA with a technical support center in South East Asia and East Africa, that provides program management and facilities engineering services worldwide. Planate is a small business provider of planning, design, infrastructure management, technical consulting, engineering, and construction management services in support of the US Department of Defense (DOD) and its Service (Army, Air Force, Navy, Marine Corps) missions, along with other US federal agencies, all over the world.

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Capture Manager to support capture initiatives across Southern, Central, and Latin America. You will assist in identifying and pursuing business opportunities, preparing capture materials, and coordinating with regional teams. You will play a key role in ensuring that capture efforts are organized, accurate, and aligned with strategic objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead all capture functions for assigned opportunities and serve as the Capture Manager responsible for the overall win.

Build and maintain capture plans and ensure all capture activities and action items are completed.

Form the capture team, conduct kickoff meetings, and secure buy in from key decision-makers.

Oversee all capture gate reviews and participate throughout the full BD lifecycle.

Gather, analyze, and interpret intelligence relevant to the opportunity.

Direct research and competitive analysis to inform strategy and positioning.

Source competitive information and assess competitor capabilities.

Collaborate with capture team members, including opportunity owners, operations staff, executives, pricing, finance, and BD personnel.

Perform SWOT analyses and develop preliminary win themes.

Engage with companies, partners, and individuals connected to the opportunity.

Manage and appropriately influence government stakeholders.

Lead solution development based on intelligence, customer needs, and competitive insights.

Develop foundational information for winning technical and management approaches.

Work with BD and operations teams to refine and finalize the solution.

Support staffing efforts, including identifying candidates and key personnel.

Build a winning team of subcontractors or teaming partners as needed.

Translate SWOT analysis into compelling, compliant win themes and a strong win story.

Lead pricing strategy and collaborate with finance and operations to develop competitive pricing.

Lead targeted marketing activities informed by intelligence and analysis.

Influence government stakeholders through targeted marketing and outreach.

Collaborate with BD and operations teams to develop and deliver marketing materials to government customers.

Develop the executive summary and ensure win themes align with customer needs, issues, and priorities.

Gather inputs for technical and management sections and identify relevant past performance and corporate experience.

Prepare proposal templates and resources, including kickoff documents, SharePoint sites, and resume templates.

Secure early commitment from proposal contributors and develop resource matrices to ensure availability.

Drive Blue Team activities and support additional color team reviews as needed.

Provide additional support to Planate as required.

Qualifications to be successful in the role:

BA/BS in business, engineering or a technical related field of study

MBA or PMP desirable but not requirement

Minimum of fifteen years Project Management and/or Business Capture experience and 10 years in a leadership role

Leadership skills to develop, organize and execute significant capture activities, including building industry teams, assessing win probability, and executing customer call plans to shape acquisitions, in order to respond to and win business with new and existing customers

Working knowledge of US Government contracting, contract types/vehicles and procurement processes

Extraordinary, social, written and presentation skills

Must be a team-oriented multi-tasker with demonstrated strong reasoning

Able to manage multiple projects

Strong capability in MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint)

Able to form strategic partnerships

Able to drive margin expansion

Strong executive presence

High energy and positive attitude

Has the ability to take initiative

Thrives in a dynamic, fast-growing, rapidly changing environment

Proficient in English both written and verbal
