Job Description Located in Indianapolis, IN, this opportunity is ideal for a knowledgeable pharmacist experienced in closed-door mail order pharmacy services.

The role offers a 13-week contract-to-hire position with a Monday through Friday schedule, 8am to 5pm, with occasional Saturdays as needed.

In this role, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care while ensuring compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities:Accurately and efficiently dispense medications according to prescription ordersProvide thorough medication counseling, including proper use, side effects, and interactionsReview and interpret physician orders to ensure therapy accuracy and appropriatenessMonitor drug regimens for contraindications, interactions, and duplicationsCollaborate with healthcare providers to enhance medication adherence and optimize outcomesMaintain detailed patient records, including medication histories and interventionsAdhere strictly to federal, state, and local pharmacy laws and regulationsEnsure proper storage and handling of medications, checking for expiration or damageEngage in pharmacy quality assurance and continuous quality improvement programsSupport inventory management including ordering and stocking pharmaceutical suppliesDeliver excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issuesStay updated on pharmacy practice developments and pursue ongoing professional development Qualifications:PharmD degree required1 to 3 years of retail pharmacy experience preferredValid Indiana pharmacy license requiredCalifornia pharmacy license preferred; willingness to reciprocate with client assistance is acceptableAbility to travel up to 5% This position offers the chance to join a dynamic team with potential for permanent employment after the contract period.
