What you will do:
Work with a primary focus on boundary surveying and control network surveying for the land holding divisions of ODNR statewide, including State Parks, Forest, and Wildlife Areas
Good mix of Office and Field work using advanced survey technology and techniques
Work in counties statewide with a mix of survey systems and boundary issues to solve
Coordinate logistics & strategic planning for field survey projects &/or act as survey crew leader
Research state, county & municipal records relative to accurate completion of preliminary & boundary surveys
Utilize software applications such as Electronic Data Processing (e.g., Microsoft Excel, Computer-Aided Drafting and Design
[CADD], Coordinate Geometry [Cogo] & Global Positioning Software [GPS] Trimble Business Center) to perform survey calculations & to create survey drawings or project files
Starting hourly pay of $30.55/hr with multiple pay increases over your first 7.5 years of service, with an end salary of $44.74/hr.
There may also be cost of living adjustments (COLA) applied. Longevity pay supplements begin after five (5) years of state service. For more details, refer to the OCSEA Employees Department of Administrative Services.
Valid certificate as Surveyor Intern issued or accepted as equivalent by the Ohio Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors AND 12 months surveying-related experience AND valid driver's license.
-Or Certification: Valid certificate as Surveyor Intern issued or accepted as equivalent by the Ohio Board of Registration for Professional Engineers & Surveyors AND 12 months experience as Surveyor 1, 85561 AND valid driver's license.
