A Speech Language Pathologist Assistant (SLPA) position is available in a school-based setting located in Dover, Arkansas. This contract opportunity offers the chance to work closely with Speech Language Pathologists (SLPs) in a collaborative and supportive pediatric environment. The role focuses on assisting with Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), attending meetings, multidisciplinary team collaboration, treatment implementation, evaluations, and detailed report writing.
Key Responsibilities:
Support SLPs in conducting assessments and providing speech therapy treatment
Assist in developing and monitoring IEP goals for students
Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and collaborate with school staff
Document treatment progress and complete accurate reports
Adapt services to meet caseload demands and individual student needs
Qualifications and Experience:
Completion of SLPA certification and eligibility for or possession of an active Arkansas license or the ability to apply for one
Prior school-based experience preferred but not required
Passion for pediatric speech therapy and working with children in educational settings
Strong communication skills and ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team
Current or upcoming school year availability for full-time or potential part-time hours
