Per Diem Pharmacist Cactus, Texas

A per diem pharmacist opportunity is available to support a rural community health center pharmacy from July 15th through July 31st. This assignment offers the chance to work within a small pharmacy environment serving primarily patients over 50 years old. The pharmacy processes approximately 120-130 prescriptions daily using the Liberty system and is supported by two experienced pharmacy technicians.

Schedule and Hours:

1st shift

Monday through Thursday: 9:00 AM - 5:30 PM

Friday: 9:00 AM - 4:00 PM

No weekend hours

Responsibilities:

Verify prescription accuracy and appropriateness

Provide patient counseling to support medication adherence and understanding

Manage and coordinate daily activities of pharmacy technicians to ensure smooth workflow

Qualifications:

Active and clear Texas pharmacist license

Experience in community health or retail pharmacy settings is preferred

Strong communication skills with a patient-centered approach
