JOB SUMMARY
We are seeking a skilled LMS/CMS Admin Consultant to manage and enhance our learning management systems. You will oversee workflows in Workday Learning, maintaining an updated content library, managing user access, and developing structured learning paths. Your role involves crafting effective learning experiences using instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
You will also support additional LMS/CMS platforms like MadCap Xyleme, ensuring compliance and quality through strategic content management. As a strategic advisor, you will suggest improvements in content organization and workflow, identifying opportunities to enhance usability and effectiveness.
Responsibilities:
LMS Administration:
Oversee complete workflows in Workday Learning, from content upload to configuration, testing, and publishing.
Maintain an accurate and up-to-date LMS content library, ensuring alignment with learning needs.
Assign and manage training access, support user provisioning, and maintain strong version control.
Develop and curate learning curricula by combining various training materials into structured learning paths.
Instructional Design Expertise:
Use foundational instructional design principles and adult learning theory to craft effective learning experiences.
Integrate existing resources like videos, documents, and job aids into cohesive courses and curricula.
Design intuitive and relevant learning paths that align with business objectives.
Provide strategic guidance on content sequencing, modality selection, and learner engagement.
Content Strategy and Consulting:
Support and manage additional LMS/CMS platforms, such as MadCap Xyleme.
Maintain content repositories with updated metadata and governance workflows.
Handle permissions, access levels, and content lifecycle processes.
Collaborate with content owners to ensure materials meet quality and compliance standards.
Act as a strategic advisor, suggesting improvements for content organization and workflow.
Identify opportunities to enhance content processes and usability, while anticipating needs and recommending best practices.
Required Experience:
Proven LMS administration experience with Workday Learning.
Experience with other LMS/CMS systems (preferably MadCap Xyleme).
Strong content strategy experience with a consulting mindset.
Instructional design skills with a solid understanding of adult learning theory.
Experience in LMS organization and management.
Technical content writing or product writing is highly beneficial.
Ability to simplify complex topics into understandable content.
Familiarity with adult learning theory and its practical application.
Background in troubleshooting device and network connectivity is a plus.
Experience interviewing SMEs to gather comprehensive information.
Understanding that AI tools support but don't drive material creation.
