About Helix Linear

Helix Linear Technologies designs and manufactures high-precision motion control systems for industries where performance matters most, including aerospace, medical devices, defense, and advanced automation. Our products power mission-critical applications where reliability and precision down to 0.0001 inches make all the difference.

Our vision is to engineer what’s possible in motion, with precision, integrity, and purpose. We pursue that vision by designing, machining, grinding, and assembling critical motion components in-house, including precision ball screws and linear systems. Our clean, climate-controlled facility is equipped with advanced manufacturing equipment including Citizen Swiss lathes, multi-axis CNC mills, precision grinders, and specialized assembly and test systems.

Helix is growing and investing in new equipment, advanced processes, and the systems required to scale with discipline. As we expand, we’re building a world-class precision manufacturing operation, which means higher standards for ownership, communication, urgency, and accountability across every role on the floor.

About the Position

The Maintenance Technician is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing the precision manufacturing equipment that powers Helix’s production floor.

This role supports a wide range of equipment including Citizen Swiss CNC lathes, multi-axis CNC mills, grinding machines, heat treat systems, electrochemical deburring equipment, inspection systems, and assembly/test stations.

You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose equipment issues, and repair mechanical and electrical systems to keep machines operating reliably and production moving.

This is a hands-on role for someone who understands precision machining environments and enjoys solving problems on the shop floor.

Responsibilities

Machine Maintenance & Repair

You’ll maintain and repair a range of precision manufacturing equipment including Swiss-style CNC lathes, multi-axis CNC mills, grinding machines, special process equipment, and the assembly, test, and inspection systems that support high-tolerance aerospace and motion-control manufacturing.

Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues affecting machine performance

Diagnose root causes of machine downtime and restore equipment quickly and safely

Repair or replace worn components including spindles, bearings, motors, pumps, belts, and sensors

Preventative Maintenance

Execute preventative maintenance schedules across all production equipment

Inspect machines regularly to identify wear, alignment issues, or performance risks

Maintain detailed maintenance logs and service records

Coordinate with operations to schedule maintenance without disrupting production

Troubleshooting & Equipment Improvement

Work closely with machinists, engineers, and production leaders to diagnose recurring equipment issues

Identify opportunities to improve machine reliability and uptime

Support machine setup, relocation, and installation of new equipment

Assist in commissioning and integrating new machines into production

Shop Support

Respond quickly to equipment issues impacting production

Maintain tools, spare parts inventory, and maintenance work areas

Ensure all work follows safety standards and best practices

Who You Are

Mechanically and technically capable. You understand how precision manufacturing equipment works and how to keep it running.

Calm under pressure. When a machine goes down, you focus on diagnosing the issue and getting it back online.

Detail-oriented. You understand that small problems can quickly become major failures in precision equipment.

Hands-on and resourceful. You enjoy solving mechanical problems and figuring things out on the shop floor.

Team-oriented. You work well with machinists, engineers, and leadership to keep production moving.

What Success Looks Like

Production machines operate with minimal downtime

Preventative maintenance schedules are consistently executed

Equipment issues are diagnosed quickly and repaired effectively

Machines run reliably with improved uptime and fewer recurring issues

New equipment installations are completed smoothly and integrated into production

Why Join Helix

At Helix, manufacturing isn’t just what we do, it’s who we are. Our work is built around precision, craftsmanship, and continuous improvement.

You’ll work in a clean, climate-controlled facility with advanced equipment, alongside machinists, engineers, operators, and commercial team members who take pride in their work and hold themselves to high standards.

Helix is building something meaningful, not just high-precision products, but a company defined by integrity, clarity, and disciplined execution in industries where the stakes are high. We engineer with purpose, take ownership of our work, and believe doing things the right way matters.

We offer competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, retirement plans, PTO, and major holidays, along with steady daytime hours and scheduling flexibility to support work–life balance.

If you take pride in solving problems, contributing to a team that values craftsmanship and accountability, and doing work where precision and reliability matter, Helix is a place where your work will truly matter.Requirements:
