Join an impactful team driving one of the nation's largest electronic healthcare modernization initiatives. As an Instructional Designer and Developer, you will collaborate within a dynamic Agile team, dedicated to designing, developing, and maintaining training materials and learning solutions. Your work will facilitate the effective adoption of workflows across diverse delivery methods for a significant Federal electronic healthcare program.
Key Responsibilities
Design and create a variety of learning assets, including assessments, job aids, performance support tools, eLearning modules, in-person/virtual training materials, and webinars.
Develop and maintain training content and source materials (e.g., Patient Data Profiles) based on provided designs, templates, and specifications.
Implement foundational instructional design principles and adult learning theories.
Continuously iterate on training products, leveraging subject matter expertise, and incorporating evaluation data and feedback from stakeholders.
Ensure that all learning materials adhere to Section 508 requirements and uphold quality standards.
Support the execution of virtual training events and on-site deployments.
Contribute effectively within Agile project environments.
Utilize AI tools to enhance the efficiency of learning content design and development.
Build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders and subject matter experts, aligning learning solutions with project goals.
Required Skills
Foundational knowledge of instructional design methodologies (e.g., ADDIE/SAM) and experience across multiple training modalities.
Basic understanding of adult learning principles.
Familiarity with learning theories (e.g., Bloom's, Gagné, Mayer's).
Strong instructional and technical writing skills.
Basic experience in creating Section 508 compliant learning materials.
Experience working collaboratively in Agile, team-oriented settings.
Introductory experience using AI tools for learning design and development.
Basic proficiency with Articulate Storyline, SharePoint, JIRA, and Confluence.
Introductory experience in stakeholder and subject matter expert engagement.
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Learning Technologies, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Minimum of 2 years of relevant work experience in instructional design and adult learning principles, preferably in healthcare information technology or large-scale IT projects.
Must be a U.S. citizen and able to obtain a Public Trust clearance.
Willingness to travel to customer sites as needed.
