#Hiring: Senior HVAC Service Technician

Location: Cedar Rapids, IA

Pay Rate: $40–$50/hr + overtime

Schedule: Full-time On-site

Central Texas Recruiting is seeking a Senior HVAC Service Technician to support commercial and industrial HVAC systems across eastern Iowa and surrounding territories. This role focuses on diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining complex systems including hot water systems, DX systems, chillers, cooling towers, and advanced control systems while supporting customers and project teams.

Key Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, and maintain HVAC systems including hot water, DX, chillers, cooling towers, fan systems, VFDs, and low-voltage controls

Conduct equipment inspections, start-ups, commissioning, and preventative maintenance

Provide technical training and support to customers and internal team members

Identify opportunities for new service solutions and system improvements

Travel throughout eastern Iowa and surrounding regions to support customer sites

Maintain accurate service documentation using company-provided laptop and mobile systems

Qualifications & Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent required

5+ years of HVAC experience, preferably in commercial or industrial environments

Experience with VRV/VRF systems, Daikin equipment, and refrigeration service

HVAC license and EPA certification required

Strong troubleshooting skills and ability to work independently in the field

Valid driver’s license required

Ability to lift up to 75 lbs and work in confined or elevated spaces
