Sewing Machine Operator

SURESTAFF is immediately hiring for Sewing Machine Operators for an apparel company in Wheeling, IL. As a Sewing Machine Operator, you will be working in a fast-paced environment, switching between tasks quickly when needed, and operating sewing machines.

SURESTAFF is invested in their team members! All direct hire employees are offered competitive compensation ($19/HR) as well as a benefits package including health insurance (medical, dental, and vision).

Available shifts include: 7:00am-3:30pm.

Responsibilities of the Sewing Operator:-Complete given orders efficiently and cleanly during daily shifts

-Follow specified company policies and processes as directed

-Meet or exceed given quotas for the day

-Re-threading machine, replacing needles, and winding bobbins

-Perform general machine maintenance such as cleaning and small repairs

Required Qualifications of the Sewing Operator:

-Previous sewing machine experience is desired (at least 1 year)

-Strong sense of responsibility and attention to detail

-Ability to sit or stand for long hours throughout shift depending on the given task

-Excellent communication skills. Knowledge of some English preferred

-Works well in a team environment

-Ability to lift to 10 lbs.
