Sr. Java Backend Developer wAWS cloud

About the role Cognizant's Engineering practice is seeking a Full stack cloud engineer which will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining high-quality software solutions using AWS SQL Spring Boot AngularJS Java JavaScript and MySQL.

You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver innovative solutions that enhance user experience and drive business growth.

In this role, you will: * Design and implement scalable software solutions using AWS ensuring optimal performance and reliability.

* Develop robust applications using Spring Boot and AngularJS to meet business requirements.

* Collaborate with team members to integrate Java and JavaScript functionalities into existing systems.

* Optimize database queries and operations using SQL and MySQL to enhance data retrieval and storage efficiency.

* Conduct thorough testing and debugging to ensure software quality and functionality.

* Provide technical support and troubleshooting for software-related issues ensuring minimal downtime.

* Participate in code reviews to maintain high coding standards and best practices.

* Work closely with product managers to understand user needs and translate them into technical specifications.

* Implement security measures to protect data integrity and prevent unauthorized access.

* Stay updated with the latest industry trends and technologies to continuously improve software solutions.

* Document software processes and procedures for future reference and training purposes.

* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of software components.

Based on this role's business requirements, this is an onsite position requiring 5 days a week in a client or Cognizant office in Columbus, OH.

What you need to have to be considered: * 6+ years of relevant experience.

* Possess strong expertise in AWS enabling the design of scalable and reliable cloud solutions.

* Demonstrate proficiency in SQL and MySQL for efficient database management and operations.

* Have extensive experience in Spring Boot and AngularJS for developing robust applications.

* Exhibit strong skills in Java and JavaScript for seamless integration and functionality.

* Show ability to troubleshoot and resolve software issues effectively.

* Maintain knowledge of industry trends to ensure innovative software development.

* Display excellent collaboration skills for working with cross-functional teams.

Salary and compensation: The annual salary for this position will be between $81,337 to $114,000 depending on the experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.

This position is also eligible for Cognizant's discretionary annual incentive program and stock awards, based on performance and subject to the terms of Cognizant's applicable plans.
