Engineering Consultant: Rockford: IL

Our client is seeking an experienced Engineering Consultant to support a wide range of land development and construction engineering projects. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to community-focused projects that blend technical precision with creative problem solving.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the design and development of residential development and home construction

Collaborate with municipalities, surveyors, and contractors to ensure compliance with local codes, zoning, and environmental standards

Develop and review engineering plans, plats, and specifications for accuracy and constructability

Support project planning, permitting, and site inspections throughout various project phases

Utilize CAD software to prepare detailed site designs and engineering drawings

Coordinate with cross-functional teams to manage timelines, budgets, and deliverables for multiple projects

Conduct feasibility studies and contribute to project cost estimates and technical documentation

Skills & Experience:

Education: Degree in Civil Engineering preferred, but not required with applicable experience

Experience: 3+ years of experience in construction engineering, land development, or site design, required

Knowledge: Coordinating with municipalities, utility companies, and surveyors, strongly preferred

Software: CAD or similar software, strongly preferred

Pay: $65,000 - $80,000/year, depending on experience + bonus opportunities

Type: Full-time, 1st Shift, On-site

Schedule: Monday – Friday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
