Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and skilled Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality patient care in various settings, including long-term care facilities, medical-surgical units, and specialized care for patients with dementia and other conditions. The LPN will work under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians, ensuring that patients receive the best possible care while adhering to safety and health regulations.

Duties

Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by healthcare providers.

Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the supervising nurse.

Assist in airway management and provide emergency care when necessary.

Provide infant care and support for new parents as needed.

Implement pain management strategies for patients experiencing discomfort.

Utilize Cerner systems for accurate documentation of patient information and care plans.

Assist with daily living activities for patients, including personal hygiene and mobility support.

Perform aseptic techniques during procedures to prevent infection.

Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized patient care plans.

Educate patients and families on health management, treatment plans, and preventive measures.

Qualifications

Valid Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of practice.

Experience in long-term care, dementia care, medical-surgical nursing, or similar settings is preferred.

Proficiency in airway management techniques is a plus.

Familiarity with Cerner or similar electronic health record systems is advantageous.

Strong communication skills to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare teams.

Ability to perform basic nursing procedures with attention to detail and adherence to safety protocols.

Knowledge of pain management practices is desirable.

Willingness to learn about dialysis procedures if applicable to the patient population served.
