A highly regarded organization in the Greater Fort Wayne community is seeking an experienced Financial Controller to provide strategic financial leadership and operational excellence. The Financial Controller will serve as a key member of the leadership team and will be instrumental in guiding financial direction, integrity, and performance. The Financial Controller will oversee all financial functions, including accounting, budgeting, reporting, compliance, and internal controls. This position requires an active CPA and a leader who can operate with a high level of ownership, vision, and communication. The Financial Controller will collaborate closely with executive leadership to support long term planning, evaluate financial performance, and drive organizational success.

Key Responsibilities
Lead the full finance and accounting function, ensuring accuracy, transparency, and timeliness.
Oversee month-end and year-end close processes, financial statements, and regulatory reporting.
Provide strategic financial insights to executive leadership to support data driven decision making.
Manage budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow planning with precision and accountability.
Implement, maintain, and improve internal controls, policies, and procedures.
Guide and develop team members through strong coaching, mentorship, and leadership.
Serve as the primary financial liaison with external partners, auditors, and stakeholders.
Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax requirements, and industry standards.
Qualifications
Active CPA required
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; advanced degree preferred
Proven experience as a Financial Controller or senior finance leader
Demonstrated success in overseeing accounting operations and financial planning
Strong leadership presence with the ability to influence cross functional teams
Exceptional communication, analytical, and problem solving skills
High ethical standards and commitment to operational excellence
Location: Hybrid opportunity available for those within a commutable range to company headquarters.
Compensation: $130,000 - $170,000 DOE
