Job Title: 2nd Shift Bindery & Envelope Converter Operator

Second Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM

Job Summary

The Bindery & Envelope Converter Operator is responsible for operating bindery and envelope converting equipment to produce finished printed products according to job specifications. This role supports second shift production by maintaining high quality, efficiency, and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities

Set up, operate, and monitor bindery and envelope converting equipment

Perform finishing tasks including folding, cutting, gluing, collating, inserting, and trimming

Operate envelope converting machines to produce envelopes per job specifications

Read and follow job tickets, work orders, and production schedules

Inspect finished products to ensure quality, accuracy, and consistency

Make basic machine adjustments and troubleshoot minor mechanical issues

Maintain accurate production counts and complete required documentation

Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety regulations

Load raw materials and assist with handling finished goods

Communicate equipment or quality issues promptly to supervision

Qualifications & Experience

Prior experience in bindery, printing, or envelope converting preferred

Experience with industrial finishing or converting equipment a plus

Ability to read measurements and production documents accurately

Mechanical aptitude and attention to detail

Reliable attendance for 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM shift

Physical Requirements

Ability to stand for long periods

Ability to lift up to 30 lbs

Frequent bending, reaching, and manual material handling
