CNC Machinist

Job Description

Minimum 3 years’ experience preferred in the setup of CNC lathes, CNC horizontal milling, and CNC vertical milling machines

· Experience with reading and editing G Code will be expected

· Strong understanding in blueprint reading and geometric tolerance interpretation

· CNC programming is a must.

· Knowledgeable use of precision measurement and the application of such instruments, including calipers, ID and OD micrometers, depth gauges, indicators, and scales

· Must be able to follow written and oral instructions

· Must be able to work in changing environments and adjust to competing demands, and have the ability to deal with frequent changes

· Must possess basic math skills

· Knowledge to identify and act on continual improvement of processes, tooling, and procedures

Responsibilities:

· Operation, loading parts, proving programs, operating controls, setting offsets, deburring when needed, and inspection of quality parts

· Interpret drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished parts

· Detect equipment malfunctions and tolerance machining issues

· Communicate with management, production, quality, and other shop personnel for assignments and to resolve any machine or quality issues
