Join our mountain retail team and help shape an unforgettable guest experience at either Perisher, Falls Creek or Hotham. As an Assistant Retail Manager, you’ll play a key role in the heartbeat of our resort operations—supporting a dynamic team, delivering exceptional service, and keeping our stores running smoothly in a fast paced alpine environment.

This role is hands on, people focused, and perfect for someone who thrives in a high volume, seasonal setting. You’ll be a leader on the retail floor, guiding staff, supporting daily operations, and ensuring every guest interaction reflects our commitment to service, safety, and the Vail Resorts values. Whether you're driving operational excellence, coaching your team, or assisting guests from around the world, your impact will be felt every day

What You'll Be Doing

Support day to day retail operations, ensuring clean, organised, guest ready stores.

Assist with stock processing, inventory accuracy, pricing, and merchandising.

Provide strong floor leadership—guiding staff, running briefings, and offering on the job coaching.

Deliver high quality customer service and resolve escalated guest issues professionally.

Help with rosters, staff performance monitoring, and team communication.

Lead operations when the Retail & Rental Manager is absent.

Promote safe work practices and support all health, safety, and environmental procedures.

What You'll Bring

2–3 years of retail, customer service, or equipment hire leadership experience.

Confident leadership skills with the ability to coach and support a diverse team.

Strong customer service approach and solid communication skills.

Ability to multitask, stay organised, and perform in a fast paced, high volume environment.

Experience with POS and inventory systems (RTP or similar).

Desirable: Certificate/Diploma in Business, Retail, Tourism, or similar, plus snowsports or tourism experience.
