Current Tech Education courses include: The Introduction to Trades & Home Service Technology

Avon Local Schools is willing to consider the following qualifications, if necessary.

Applicants may possess or be willing to seek one of the following:

Alternative Resident Educator License: For those with a degree in a related field and work experience, allowing them to teach while completing pedagogical training.

Career-Technical Workforce Development (CTWD) License: Specifically for career-technical fields, this 2-year license required applicants to have industry-recognized

credentials or work experience and to be hired by a district.

Supplemental Teaching License: Valid for one year (renewable twice) for teachers looking to add a new subject area to their license.

and/or

Work experience in the related fields of construction, trades, home maintenance.
