Sr. Java/Automation DevOps

Job Title: Sr. Java/Automation DevOps - This is 60% automation DevOps, 40% app dev Location: Must sit onsite in Plano, TX - hybrid (Mon & Fri remote/Tue-Thu onsite) Duration: ~10 months Job Description: Lead a portfolio of diverse technology projects and a team of developers with deep experience in distributed microservices, and full stack systems to create solutions that help meet regulatory needs for the company. Share your passion for staying on top of tech trends, experimenting with and learning new technologies, participating in internal & external technology communities, and mentoring other members of the engineering community. Collaborate with product managers and deliver robust cloud-based solutions. Utilize programming languages like Java, Python, SQL, Ruby, JavaScript, Node.js, Open-Source RDBMS and NoSQL databases, C Container Orchestration services including Docker and Kubernetes, CM tools including Ansible and Terraform, and a variety of AWS tools and services Must have:

At least 6 years of experience in DevOps Engineering (Internship experience does not apply) - 60%

At least 3 years of experience AWS - EC2, ECS, EMR, working with Jenkins, S3, lambdas.

At least 4 years of Unix or Linux system

Application development - Java (40%)

Ability to lead/mentor 4-person team.

leading/mentoring around 4 people within the team- majority in people sit in Plano, work with external vendor in Latin America - (CST hours) - senior level experience, doesn't have to be a lead previously, help other team members who work independently. Needs to be hands on as well.

4+ Experience using build and deployment tools - (Jenkins)

2+ Experience with distributed database systems (PostgreSQL, Aurora RDS)
