This consultant will be supporting the 2025 Stellantis program. This includes performing tuning work on the Dodge Ram pickups and flat beds, leading through OBD work for system errors, tracking SW requirements, etc.
The candidate selected for this requirement would be supporting the Machine Performance group. This group takes on early software releases from the build integration team, and they utilize the software to calibrate/tune for existing features and ensure functionality. They will perform feedback on design or validation issues that don't meet requirements. They will support software builds that have been tuned successfully. Will perform CAN troubleshooting to ensure its properly functioning.
This position will be a hybrid position depending on what stage of the work they're in. 50% hands-on vehicle work where they support controller, vehicle system, and requirement validation. They will perform bench simulation. Troubleshooting and tuning of vehicle tuning, PID controller tuning, and acceleration-based controllers.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Must Haves:
Bachelors of Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
2+ years of relevant experience
Classic controls relating to IC (Diesel) engine operation (Fueling/Speed Control) and governing of it
OBD and NDFL Diagnostics experience
Feature tuning and troubleshooting
Calibration Development
Validation support
Nice to Have:
HIL/MIL/SIL experience is helpful.
Knowledge of PID controllers (practical/theoretical)
