Equipment Operator – Columbus, OH

We’re seeking experienced Equipment Operators for our Columbus, OH operations. This role involves operating a wide variety of construction equipment safely and efficiently to complete underground utility projects on time and within specifications. Looking for experience with digging heavy trench lines and running equipment like excavators and rubber tire backhoes

Responsibilities

Safely operate company vehicles to deliver and pick up materials, reels of cable, steel plates, service tools, and equipment.

Work in the field with crews installing manholes, vaults, and completing related construction tasks.

Operate utility construction equipment including (but not limited to) backhoes, directional drills, trenchers, skid-steer loaders, cranes, digger derricks, bucket trucks, excavators, and crane trucks.

Assist the foreman in completing projects safely, on schedule, and to quality standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

2+ years of safe, productive equipment operation preferred. Ideally excavator or directional drill operators.

Familiarity with DOT enforcement and compliance regulations.

Must meet all DOT requirements (physical and drug testing).

Strong communication skills and ability to follow directions.

Working knowledge of utility construction and installation.

Willingness to travel is a plus.
