Job Description

Sansei Gardens Inc., a leading Bay Area landscape construction company, is growing. We have over 40 years of experience and strong relationships with the Bay Area’s largest home builders and general contractors. Sansei Gardens is seeking an Estimator who will work closely with the Estimating Department in all aspects of the bidding process. Our hands on work culture provides the perfect opportunity for employees to put their current abilities to work as well as learn a new skill set.

Responsibilities:

· Reviewing plans and specifications

· Performing quantity takeoffs

· Obtaining material pricing

· Client interactions – pre-bids, budget meeting, estimate follow up

· Business development

· Soliciting and coordinating with subcontractors

· Reviewing project scope, attending pre-bid meetings

· Preparing and submitting complete bid packages.

Qualifications:

· Able to read, understand and interpret drawings and specifications

· Proficiency in Excel

· Proficiency in an estimating software, Planswift or Bluebeam preferred

· Able to manage multiple projects at one time

· Self-directed with a high level of initiative

· Able to successfully work within a team and also independently

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Committed to showing professionalism and an eagerness to obtain more skills and responsibilities

Compensation:

$70,000 - $100,000
