Industry: Medical Equipment / Devices Job Category: Manufacturing - Production As a Technical Associate, you will play a crucial role in setting up, operating, optimizing, trouble shooting, and maintaining our departmental production equipment. You will be responsible for meeting and exceeding our production standards, maintaining product quality, minimizing/preventing equipment downtime, and sustaining budgeted waste levels daily. Essential Functions
Operate equipment within specified quality/quantity limits.
Sets up and debugs equipment to the specifications
Maintains equipment in working order to produce product within specified quality and quantity limits, adjusting, trouble shooting, cleaning, and repairing as necessary.
Is responsible for maintaining equipment logs for each piece of equipment, recording pertinent information about downtime and maintenance problems.
Repairs equipment within their capability and reports major problems to supervisor
Assists the Maintenance Department, LTA/Production Mechanic or Manufacturing Technician in major repairs.
Perform preventative maintenance on equipment.
Requires mechanical ability and knowledge of proper use of tools, proper trouble shooting and set up procedures, and machine blueprint reading.
Starts up equipment and ensures accurate functioning of machines and control panel.
Monitors / replenishes component inventories and ensures all safety guards are in position and functional. Checks and cleans part tracks to ensure free travel of all component parts.
Notifies material handler if part supplies run low.
Shuts machine cycle off when a jam occurs and after clearing the jam, restarts the machine cycle.
Maintains accurate production and downtime records (logbooks).
Maintains a neat and orderly production environment.
Continually supervises in-process quality, addressing issues as needed to prevent product holds.
Performs and documents all required Q.C. checks.
Runs all required process challenges.
Observes all safety and environmental procedures and Quality System Requirements (QSR)
Supports upstream and downstream operations.
Performs rework as required.
Able to function in a team environment. Additional Responsibilities Performs other duties as assigned by Supervisor and required to support the needs of the business. Qualifications:
H.S. Diploma/G.E.D preferred
Maintenance Repair / Mechanical Experience or Proficiency required and 2 years mechanical experience preferred
Must be proficient with basic hand tools.
Should be familiar with the following mechanical components, bushings, chain drives, conveyors, gearboxes, and ball valves.
Must have clear and legible handwriting
6- 12 months of manufacturing experience desired
Mechanical background, knowledge of automated process desired
Working with PLC's, Hydraulics and Pneumatics desired
Able to work autonomously and be self-motivated.
Able to work ANY shift including 12 hour night or 8 hour night shifts
