Job Description

The Second Shift Production Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily operations in the poultry processing plant, ensuring efficiency, quality, and compliance with safety and regulatory standards. This role will focus on managing raw sizing operations (cutting chicken breasts into strips, chunks, fillets, etc.) and ready-to-cook (par fry) processing lines while leading and developing a production team.

Key Responsibilities:

Supervise and coordinate production activities to ensure efficient processing of poultry products while maintaining product quality and safety.

Oversee Raw Sizing operations, ensuring proper cutting, portioning, and packaging meet customer specifications.

Manage the ready-to-cook (par fry) production process, ensuring product consistency and compliance with food safety standards.

Monitor and enforce compliance with USDA, OSHA, and company safety and quality standards.

Lead, train, and motivate a team of production workers to achieve operational goals.

Monitor production schedules, adjust workflows, and manage resources to meet demand.

Identify areas for process improvement and work with management to implement best practices.

Ensure all machinery and equipment are functioning properly; coordinate maintenance as needed.

Maintain accurate production records, reports, and performance metrics.

Work collaboratively with other departments, including Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Logistics, to ensure smooth operations.

Qualifications & Skills:

Education: High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor’s degree it is not mandatory, but it would be a plus in a related area.

Experience: Minimum 2 years of supervisory experience in poultry processing or a similar food manufacturing environment.

Strong leadership and team management skills.

Knowledge of poultry processing, raw sizing techniques, and par fry operations.

Understanding of USDA, OSHA, and HACCP regulations.

Ability to troubleshoot production issues and implement corrective actions.

Excellent organizational, problem-solving, and communication skills.

Proficiency using Microsoft Office Suite.

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with a focus on continuous improvement.
