Position Description

The Construction Project Coordinator provides specialized construction administrative support duties, including the administration of the HCTRA Construction project management software for the Capital Projects and Infrastructure (CPI) division. Responsible for working with the Deputy Director, Assistant Directors in CPI, HCTRA Engineers, Program Managers, and Project Managers in the initiation, management, and closing of construction projects within the HCTRA construction management software, including schedules, change orders, Request for Information, substantial completion, retainage release, etc. Assists in project documentation for projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:

Monitors construction contracts and projects and provides specialized construction administrative support duties, including the administration of the HCTRA Construction project management software for the Capital Projects and Infrastructure (CPI) division.

Responsible for working with the Deputy Director, Assistant Directors in CPI, HCTRA Engineers, Program Managers, and Project Managers in the initiation, management, and closing of construction projects within HCTRA construction management software, including schedules, change orders, requests for Information, substantial completion, retainage release, etc.

Maintains records and reports for construction contracts and assists HCTRA Program and Project Managers in project documentation for projects.

Reviews project documents for compliance before construction project letting. Performs other duties and responsibilities as assigned. Other Duties:

Requirements

Education and Experience:

High school diploma or GED equivalent from an accredited institution.

Minimum five (5) years' experience in an increasingly responsible construction administrative role.

Experience with construction projects. Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Ability to provide specialized administrative support.

Advanced knowledge of personal computer, utilizing software such as Outlook, Word, and Excel in a Microsoft Windows environment.

Ability to maintain high level of confidentiality, judgment, personal responsibility, and dependability.

Ability to work independently with only general direction and utilizing established policies and objectives.

Ability to communicate clearly and concisely, both orally and in writing.

Ability to establish and maintain a professional attitude and interact well with all office personnel at all levels including consultants and other stakeholders.

Ability to be dependable and maintain good attendance.

Ability to organize and prioritize a variety of multiple tasks in an effective and timely manner to meet critical time deadlines.

Ability to analyze problems, identify alternative solutions, project consequences of proposed actions and implement recommendations in support of goals. Physical Demands:

Light work - Exerting up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or a negligible amount of force constantly to move objects. If the use of arm and/or leg control requires exertion of forces greater than that of sedentary work and if the worker sits most of the time, the job is considered light work.

This is a full-time position.

Typical work hours and Monday through Friday

Hours may vary based on the business needs of the department. Work Environment:

This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.

There are no major sources of discomfort.

A normal office environment with acceptable lighting and climate control is provided. Reporting Relations:

Reports To Position: Assistant Director, Project Management

Supervises Positions: N/A

Employment may be contingent on passing a drug screen and meeting other standards.
