Production Operator - 1st shift - $22 / hour
Job Description
We are seeking dedicated Production Operators to join our dynamic team, working under the supervision of the Shift Supervisor. Your role will involve ensuring the proper running and cleaning of production equipment in the safe manufacture of powder coatings. You may be assigned to Grinding, Weigh Up, or Extrusion production areas.
Responsibilities
Take ownership of production assets and ensure their operation is safe and compliant with established procedures, guidelines, and industry best practices.
Perform daily production, preventative maintenance, process data collection, and administration tasks as per procedures and control systems.
Report any safety, quality, or other issues related to products or production processes to the Team Leader or Shift Supervisor.
Ensure all production targets are met while maintaining appropriate quality standards.
Attend and contribute to meetings.
Participate in the investigation of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) or quality issues.
Engage in Continuous Improvement activities and programs for HSE, Quality, and other areas as assigned.
Adhere to safety principles and intervene to stop work if conditions or behaviors are unsafe.
Promote adherence to health, safety, and environmental regulations, ensuring compliance with corporate, federal, state, and local requirements.
Perform other duties as required for the success of the company.
Essential Skills
Experience in production, manufacturing, or quality control.
Proficiency in general labor, assembly, and machine operation.
Ability to use hand tools, power tools, and tape measures.
Experience in material handling, loading, and packaging.
Mechanical aptitude and safety awareness.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Prior experience working in a paint manufacturing facility preferred.
Proficiency in English, both verbal and written.
Basic Microsoft skills preferred.
Two to three years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
Ability to read, write, and verbally communicate in English, including understanding process sheets and safety precautions.
Experience with complex testing processes on production batches to measure product characteristics.

Work Environment
You will be working directly on the manufacturing floor in a climate-controlled environment. The team consists of about five people per section, operating older machinery with some dust in the air. The workplace maintains cleanliness and implements safety precautions like temperature screenings and social distancing.Job Type & Location

The pay range for this position is $22.00 - $22.00/hr.
