Job Description
A growing Test Instrument and Standards, Manufacturing and Service Company, is seeking a highly skilled and versatile Embedded C Engineer / IT Systems & Software Specialist to develop embedded firmware solutions, support internal IT infrastructure, and maintain our internal service order management platform written in TypeScript.
This role bridges low-level hardware programming, enterprise IT support, and internal business software maintenance — ideal for a technically curious problem-solver who enjoys working across the stack.
Key Responsibilities
Embedded Systems Development
Design, develop, test, and maintain firmware using Embedded C
Develop low-level drivers and hardware interface code (SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, ADC/DAC, etc.)
Debug at the hardware-software boundary using tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and JTAG
Optimize performance, memory usage, and power consumption
Support product validation, production testing, and technical documentation
Maintain version control and follow structured coding standards
Internal Software & Service Order Platform
Maintain and enhance the company’s internal service order management system written in TypeScript
Debug, refactor, and extend backend and/or frontend functionality
Improve reliability, data integrity, and performance
Collaborate with internal stakeholders to implement workflow improvements
Manage deployments, version control (Git), and testing
Document system architecture and updates
IT Systems & Infrastructure
Maintain company IT systems, networks, and user workstations
Install, configure, and troubleshoot hardware, software, and operating systems
Manage servers, backups, system updates, and cybersecurity practices
Support LAN/WAN networking (routers, switches, firewalls)
Provide internal technical support and system documentation
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or equivalent experience
Strong proficiency in Embedded C programming
Experience with microcontrollers and real-time systems
Solid debugging and hardware troubleshooting skills
Working knowledge of TypeScript and modern JavaScript frameworks
Experience with Git version control
Familiarity with Windows and/or Linux system administration
Understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with RTOS
Experience with Node.js or modern frontend frameworks (React, Angular, etc.)
Experience with databases (SQL or NoSQL)
Scripting experience (Python, Bash, PowerShell)
Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS/Azure)
Understanding of cybersecurity best practices

Full-time
