Job Title: Network & Security Engineer (Full-Time, On-Site/Hybrid)

What will the Network & Security Engineer do?
Lead engineering and administration for Cisco routing, switching, wireless, and multi-site connectivity
Drive documentation, standards, lifecycle management, and topology ownership
Execute key security initiatives: Cisco CyberVision, XDR, Duo, Secure Access (zero trust)
Oversee wireless upgrades, switch replacements, OT LAN visibility, and secure mobile connectivity
Design and support AWS networking for cloud workloads
Manage a structured knowledge-transfer process from the current contractor in the first 90 days
Partner with plant managers, operations leaders, and technical teams to communicate clearly across the business
Support ongoing infrastructure maturity and proactive network governance
What the company needs in a Network & Security Engineer:
10+ years of hands-on Cisco networking experience across multi-site or industrial environments
Proven experience with the Cisco security ecosystem (CyberVision, XDR, Duo, zero trust)
Strong background in AWS networking
Ownership mindset with strong documentation habits, initiative, and follow-through
Excellent communication skills with the ability to translate technical language for non-technical stakeholders
Stable tenure, professional presence, and comfort working in an environment with shifting priorities
Willingness to travel (~25% initially; then ~2–3 trips per year)
Bonus Skills:
Spanish language proficiency is a plus
Experience supporting OT networks or industrial manufacturing environments
Background stabilizing environments after contractor-led support models

Work Schedule:
Westport, CT: On-site (Mon–Fri, ~9:00–5:30
Travel:
~25% initially during onboarding and project rollout
2–3 trips per year ongoing
