Overview
Join us as an Associate RDBMS Administrator and take a hands-on role supporting, optimizing, and safeguarding our SQL Server and Oracle environments. You’ll work across installation, configuration, performance, security, and recovery to keep mission-critical databases running smoothly.Where You’ll Work
Based in Cranberry Township, this hybrid role blends in-office collaboration (3 days per week) with remote flexibility (2 days per week). Please note: relocation assistance is not available for this position.Your Reporting Line
You will report to the Supervisor, Database Administration.A Day in the Life
Evaluate, test, recommend, and deploy database software updates, from patches to major releases, for Oracle and SQL Server.
Execute and validate backup and restore processes, including periodic recovery drills.
Implement and fine-tune monitoring platforms to establish performance baselines, surface issues early, and drive capacity planning.
Review, refine, and document disaster recovery and business continuity runbooks for primary production systems.
Translate developer specifications into schema updates and structural database changes.
Create and maintain clear, complete documentation for procedures and operational practices.
Provision users, enforce access controls, and audit database security.
Primarily work standard business hours, with occasional evening/weekend involvement for projects, planned maintenance, and on-call coverage.Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
0+ years supporting Oracle and SQL Server environments (entry-level candidates encouraged).
Experience working with both standalone and clustered topologies.
Exposure to Oracle 12c and 19c releases.
Working knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
Ability to troubleshoot complex issues spanning databases, networking, and system administration.
Strength in producing thorough technical and system-level documentation.Compensation
We value transparency and pay equity. The base pay range for this role is $58,400 to $73,000 per year, depending on experience, qualifications, and skills.
