Job Details

We're hiring a high-impact Backend Engineer to help scale a fast-growing platform in NYC. This is a hands-on role for someone who thrives in distributed systems, cares about clean architecture, and wants real ownership from day one.

Responsibilities

Architect, build, and scale high-performance backend systems

Drive design reviews and influence technical direction

Identify and eliminate bottlenecks across distributed environments

Partner cross-functionally with Product, CS, and Ops to ship high-impact features

Introduce modern tools, frameworks, and best practices

Qualifications:

5+ years building distributed, production-scale systems

Deep CS fundamentals and strong system design instincts

Expert-level Python

Strong AWS experience

Solid experience with relational databases, especially PostgreSQL

Java experience is a plus
