Job description*:

#Technical Skill Requirements:

• Database

o Postgres (15.5)

• Backend

o Python (3.11)

o FastAPI (Web Framework)

o SQLAlchemy (ORM)

o Pydantic (Validation)

o Alembic (Migrations)

o API design (REST/JSON)

o authentication/authorization (JWT/OAuth/SAML),

• Frontend

o Javascript (Typescript required)

o React.js

o Next.js (13) using the pages router.

o Tailwind CSS

o React Query

• DevOps and Tooling

o Docker and Docker Compose

o AWS (ECR, ECS, S3, RDS Postgres, EC2)

o ESLint (JS/TS Linter)

o Prettier (JS/TS Formatter)

o Ruff (Python Linter and Formatter)

• Additional competencies

o Knowledge of laboratory workflows. Especially in NGS.

o Secure coding practices, secrets management, environment configuration.

o Architecture and design patterns (modular monolith/microservices, layering, clean architecture).

Clear communication, documentation, and collaboration in cross-functional teams

#Mandatory skills:

Python (Backend), PostgreSQL, AWS, ReactJS/NextJS

#Desired skills:

• End-to-end feature delivery: translate product requirements into technical designs, implement backend and frontend components, write tests, and deploy reliably.

• Backend development: build RESTful/JSON APIs with FastAPI; design schemas and queries using SQLAlchemy; translate business logic to code.

• Frontend development: create responsive, accessible interfaces with React, Next.js, and Tailwind CSS; manage state and API integrations; optimize for performance.

• Database ownership: design normalized schemas, migrations, indexing strategies, and query optimizations; maintain data integrity and observability.

• Cloud and infrastructure: containerize services with Docker; deploy containerize applications on AWS ECS.

• Collaboration: work closely with laboratory stakeholders to understand their workflows and pain points.

Continuous improvement: refactor for maintainability, reduce tech debt, and propose pragmatic architecture changes.
