Full job description Position Requirements : · Completion of High School diploma or equivalent.

· Must be currently enrolled in post-secondary education.

· Minimum of six months to one year of experience in a similar setting.

· An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered.

· Strong public relations and verbal communication skills.

· Beginner skill level with Microsoft Office Products.

· Team oriented with open communication style.

· Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy.

· Demonstrated ability to show initiative.

· Ability to deal with the public with professionalism, diplomacy, and tact.

· Ability to understand and execute written and oral instructions.

· Ability to maintain confidentiality regarding department and municipal matters.

· Criminal records check in accordance with Policy 55.

Responsibilities : · Document control, scanning, filing, and record keeping.

· General office duties including telephone reception, processing mail, photocopying, and preparing correspondence and reports.

· Invoicing, purchase order preparation, and purchase coding.

· Assists clerks as required.

· Research items as requested.

· Process all department requests and inquiries.

· Data entry, spreadsheet development, analytical processing.

· Assist in the development of the Town’s safety programs.

· Accept department related payments for services rendered.

· Ensures that a positive public image is portrayed to the public indicating the municipality’s commitment to excellence in service for the residents of the Town of Redcliff.

· Perform physical labour as required within the department.

· Operate various pieces of equipment for the purpose of maintenance, construction, and operations within the department.

· Assists with community programs and events as required.

· Ensures the on-site safety procedures and regulations are practiced as it pertains to his/her operations within the department.
